Who hasn’t ever woken up to discover a new pimple, just when something special was on the horizon. Or some other sign that your skin isn’t looking its best?
Mind you, when is there ever a good time for pimply, stressed out looking skin…we’d all likely say, never. Right? Breakouts just aren’t known for being a good thing.
But never fear. We have a few tips to help you refresh and renew that beautiful skin of yours; some favourite essential oils and oil-infused products to share and a great tip for treating acne, should that be the bane of your life. We have family members for whom this has been true and now, after giving their skin a little TLC they’re beating back the blemishes.
Tea Tree essential oil
It sounds weird, I know. Oil for skin! But this Young Living therapeutic grade oil has super good cleansing properties, which is why its such a popular choice in many skin care products. It is great for any type of skin, and especially good for those with more oily skins.
Not sure how to use it?
Put a drop on a cotton swab and dab lightly on the blemishes.
Rosemary essential oil
We gave away Rosemary oil recently for focus and memory, and believe me, it really works for that. But like much of nature’s amazing bounty, there’s more than one use for these pure oils. That’s why we love Rosemary essential oil for more than its benefits around memory and focus.. It’s also brilliant to add to your facial cleansing routine, because it helps return your skin to its natural fresh glow.
How you can use it:
Add 1 drop of Rosemary to 4 drops of your favourite carrier oil…you can read more about them here…I like to use Young Living’s V-6™ Vegetable Oil Complex…but whatever works best for you. All you need do is dip a cotton ball into your mix and apply it after cleansing your face. It’s good stuff!
Maximum Strength Acne Treatment
Young Living’s Maximum Strength Acne Treatment for those of you who suffer with acne…is definitely the place to start. It abounds with natural ingredients like Tea Tree and Manuka and to add a little punch to the mix Young living have added maximum strength salicylic acid from Wintergreen, aloe and chamomile to help keep the skin soft and moisturized. According to my family members, it works amazingly well.
Ready to use it?
After washing your face add a thin layer of the Acne Treatment all over the areas of breakouts. 2-3 times a day is the recommended use, but I’d start with just 1 a day and move on up. If your skin should get dry, then stick with once a day or every other day. We want your skin to be beautifully glowing.
Charcoal Bar Soap
This is one highly recommended by the acne prone members of our family. I can’t speak to it personally because thankfully I’m not a sufferer.
Young Living’s charcoal bar soap as always with Young Living products is naturally derived, with a formula for powerfully pulling out dirt and impurities, along with moisturizing ingredients for that clear, healthy complexion you deserve to have.
How to use it:
Just like any other facial cleanser soap, work it into a lather and apply to your face in a circular motion and rinse well with warm water. Bingo. You’re done.
And if you like the soap for your face, why not try it as a whole body cleanser. Skin that’s soft and silky all over can’t be a bad thing!
